Dear Families, Welcome to Second Grade and the new school year. We are very excited about the upcoming year and invite you to join us in making this a rewarding experience for your child. Mrs. Holden and Mrs. Walker will be team teaching this year. Mrs. Holden will be teaching on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Mrs. Walker will be teaching each Wednesday. We both are committed to providing your child the highest quality educational experience. Communication between home and school is a key component to a successful year for your child. Feel free to contact us at any time with any questions or concerns. You may send us a note or call our voice mail at 524-9034 ext. 14. We will get back to you as soon as possible. All basic materials have been provided for your child. We will inform you if any other supplies are needed. You are receiving this packet of information in your child’s homework folder. Your child will use this folder to bring homework, notices, and returned papers home and to bring the nightly homework back to school. (Homework will start tomorrow for your child). We are asking parents to review the papers enclosed, fill out the forms and return them to school tomorrow in the homework folder. Your timeliness on this is appreciated. Finally, we are looking forward to meeting with you at Back-to-School Night on Sept. 2. We will go over the curriculum and explain the classroom schedule and procedures.
